Lead Coder RHIT or CPC

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Coder who provides leadership and expertise to the coding team in various care settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to ethical coding standards and current coding guidelines
• Monitor coding work queues for productivity and communicate trends to management
• Mentor coding staff and assist with onboarding and training processes

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of professional coding experience in inpatient and/or outpatient settings
• RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC credential required
• Demonstrated knowledge of State, Federal, and payer-specific regulations
• Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and PCS coding guidelines
• Proficiency in EHR and coding systems
