Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Coder.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and expertise to the coding team, ensuring compliance and quality in coding practices
• Monitor coding work queues and support productivity benchmarks while communicating trends and risks to management
• Mentor and train coding staff, assisting with onboarding and cross-training to meet departmental needs

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of professional coding experience in inpatient and/or outpatient settings
• RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC credential required
• Associate's degree preferred
• Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and PCS coding guidelines
• Strong understanding of reimbursement methodologies and revenue cycle workflows
