Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Coder who provides leadership and expertise to the coding team in inpatient and outpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with coding standards and guidelines, supporting quality and accuracy in coding practices
• Mentor and train coding staff while monitoring coding workflows and productivity benchmarks
• Collaborate with various departments to resolve coding-related issues impacting reimbursement and compliance

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of professional coding experience in inpatient and/or outpatient settings
• Possession of RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC credential
• Demonstrated knowledge of coding guidelines and reimbursement methodologies
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) and coding systems
• Ability to mentor and support staff in coding best practices
