Lead Coder with CPC Certification

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Coder who provides leadership and expertise to the coding team in various care settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with coding standards and guidelines while supporting quality and accuracy in coding practices
• Mentor and train coding staff, assisting with onboarding and workflow improvements
• Collaborate with various departments to resolve coding-related issues impacting reimbursement and compliance

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of professional coding experience in inpatient and/or outpatient settings
• Must hold RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC credential
• Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and PCS coding guidelines
• Strong understanding of reimbursement methodologies and revenue cycle workflows
• Proficiency in EHR and coding systems
