Lead Coder with CPC Certification

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Coder who provides leadership and expertise to the coding team in inpatient and outpatient care settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance with coding standards and guidelines while supporting quality and accuracy in coding practices
• Mentors coding staff and assists with training and onboarding to enhance departmental coverage
• Collaborates with various stakeholders to resolve coding-related issues impacting reimbursement and compliance

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of professional coding experience in inpatient and/or outpatient settings
• RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC credential required
• Associate's degree preferred
• Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and PCS coding guidelines
• Strong understanding of reimbursement methodologies and revenue cycle workflows
