Lead Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Coding Specialist for their Medical Coding Department.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct reviews to validate I-10-CM diagnosis codes and PCS procedure codes
• Manage daily DNFB and DNFC reports and oversee coding corrections and compliance
• Provide mentoring support to coders and collaborate on education and training initiatives

Required Qualifications and Education

• Minimum of five (5) years of coding experience in an acute hospital setting
• Three (3) years of experience leading a coding team
• Graduate of a medical coding program or an associate degree in a healthcare-related field
• One of the following credentials: CCS, RHIT, or RHIA
• Proficiency in coding software and knowledge of ICD10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding regulations
