Lead Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Coding Professional.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide and oversee training for new or current coding staff
• Perform advanced diagnostic and procedural coding to ensure proper reimbursement and accurate data
• Act as a liaison between departments to analyze and coordinate changes in workflow

Required Qualifications

• Coding certification or Associate degree in Health Information Management (HIM)
• 3 years of coding-related experience such as coding, abstracting, or data quality
• Preferred: 5+ years of coding-related experience and experience in various specialty coding areas
• Licenses/Certifications: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, COC, or other approved specialty credentials
