Lead Commercial Title Examiner

Job Summary

Leading a team of examiners, the full-time remote Lead Commercial Title Examiner will perform complex title examinations for commercial properties, analyze public records, and ensure smooth closing of large-scale real estate transactions while providing training and support to team members.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and direct the work of other examiners, resolving escalated issues and managing workflow
• Conduct title examinations of complex orders, abstracting and analyzing records to verify ownership and legal restrictions
• Write title products and provide underwriting interpretations based on established guidelines

Required qualifications

• At least 5 years of commercial title insurance experience in title searching, examining, and writing commitments
• Understanding of relevant legal and real estate terminology
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat/Pro, and property data platforms
• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems independently
• A high school diploma or equivalent
