Job Summary
Leading the design and implementation of the Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA) component for a child protection evaluation, the part-time Case-based Causal Methods Lead Consultant will provide methodological expertise and generate evidence on UNICEF's strategies to prevent and respond to violence against children and women, working remotely for a six-month consultancy period.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement the QCA component of the evaluation, focusing on causal questions through a programme theory-based approach
- Provide methodological leadership for reporting and dissemination of results, ensuring alignment with other evaluation components
- Generate cross-nationally comparable evidence on the outcomes of UNICEF's child protection systems strengthening strategy
Required qualifications
- Advanced university degree (Master's or higher) in Political Science, Statistics, Public Policy, or related fields with a quantitative methods specialization
- Minimum 10 years of experience in designing and applying QCA in international development or complex evaluations
- Experience working with the UN system or international organizations
- Proven track record of leading multi-country comparative studies
- Fluency in English; knowledge of French or Spanish is an asset
