Lead Cyber Security Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the charge in information security, the full-time remote Lead Cyber Security Engineer will design, implement, and enhance security controls while managing incident response activities and advising IT leadership and business stakeholders on emerging threats and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and assess vulnerabilities in systems, applications, and networks through regular security assessments and penetration testing
• Develop and maintain identity and access management (IAM) procedures to ensure secure user identity management across the organization
• Monitor security events and network traffic to proactively detect and respond to potential security threats and incidents

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security, preferably within a regulated financial institution
• Experience with AI in the context of security and relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+
• In-depth knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, network protocols, and security tools
• Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks, standards, and regulations
