Lead Cybersecurity Analyst

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Lead Cybersecurity Analyst to join the Security Operations Center (SOC) in a permanent, remote role, where the analyst will manage 24x7 SOC operations, drive incident response activities, and enhance detection capabilities through technical leadership and mentorship.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee SOC operations, ensuring effective monitoring, triage, and response to security events while coordinating incident response across various stakeholders
• Develop and optimize SIEM detections and SOAR playbooks to improve detection and response times, troubleshooting any issues that arise
• Conduct proactive threat hunting to identify risks and improve SOC processes, tools, and workflows for enhanced efficiency

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 4-5+ years of experience in security operations, incident response, or detection engineering
• Proficiency in cybersecurity incident response, SOC management, and experience with Linux operating systems
• Strong scripting or automation skills, particularly in Python, PowerShell, or Bash
• Hands-on experience with SIEM and SOAR platforms, including building detections and dashboards
