Lead Cybersecurity Assessor

Job Summary

Leading the execution of security assessments, the full-time Lead Cybersecurity Assessor will develop and validate SCSEMs and automated evaluation files while performing hands-on system configuration checks in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and validate SCSEMs and automated evaluation files, ensuring alignment with CIS Benchmarks, DISA STIGs, and NIST controls
• Lead hands-on system configuration checks and compliance scanning, performing corrective actions for identified issues
• Maintain configuration instructions and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in identifying and applying cybersecurity requirements within government organizations
• Hands-on experience in implementing security controls and vulnerability management
• Experience in securing configurations and authoring or tailoring SCSEM/STIG/CIS/Nessus content
• High School Diploma or higher
• One or more relevant cybersecurity certifications or completion of a minimum 2-year IT/Cybersecurity program
