Lead Data Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Data Engineer, Data Reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop a platform for incident observability and automation, ensuring high-quality data models and monitoring reports
• Lead project efforts, set deliverables, review design documents, and mentor junior team members
• Collaborate with engineering teams to maintain and improve big data pipeline infrastructure, focusing on performance tuning and incident response

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with mission-critical data pipelines and ETL systems, including big data technologies like AWS, Hadoop, Hive, and Snowflake
• Expertise in Data Engineering languages such as Python, Scala, Java, SQL, and experience with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow
• Deep understanding of end-to-end pipeline design and implementation
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins is preferred
