Lead Data Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Data Engineer to own data engineering end-to-end and build scalable data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Own data engineering across the platform, from ingestion through transformation and delivery
• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python, Spark, SQL, and modern cloud tools
• Partner with product and engineering teams to support analytics, reporting, and customer-facing use cases

Required Qualifications

• 5-7 years of hands-on data engineering experience building and owning production pipelines end-to-end
• Strong Python and SQL skills; Spark and Databricks experience is a plus
• Deep understanding of data quality, testing, and operational excellence
• Experience in fast-paced startups or growth-stage companies
• Familiarity with modern cloud data platforms and distributed processing tools
