Lead Data Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Data Engineer to architect, build, and scale a healthcare data platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and evolution of a cloud-native data platform on Google Cloud Platform
• Build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and develop ingestion pipelines for clinical and administrative data
• Implement data quality frameworks and ensure HIPAA compliance across all data pipelines

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of data engineering experience; 2-3+ years in a lead or senior technical role
• Deep expertise in GCP, especially BigQuery and GCP Healthcare API
• Strong proficiency with dbt and Airflow
• Hands-on experience with healthcare standards like FHIR and HL7
• Strong understanding of PHI handling and HIPAA compliance
