Lead Data Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Data Engineer to architect and develop enterprise-scale data platforms and analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable data platforms and analytics solutions
• Oversee the development and maintenance of Azure SQL database objects and drive performance of real-time data processing
• Manage and mentor a team of data engineers, providing technical leadership and aligning efforts with strategic goals

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in cloud-native data engineering, with 3+ years in Databricks and Delta Lake
• Expert-level SQL skills and proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., PySpark, Scala, Python)
• Deep understanding of cloud-native data architecture and proven ability to design scalable data pipelines
• Strong experience with CI/CD and version control, ideally including Databricks Asset Bundles
• Degree in IT, Engineering, computer sciences, business IT, or a quantitative discipline
