Lead Data Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Data Engineer to join their team in Canada.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the migration of large-scale logs and distributed traces to ClickHouse
• Design and tune distributed ClickHouse clusters and architect high-throughput ingestion pipelines
• Establish monitoring and operational best practices, ensuring production readiness and security

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in backend, infrastructure, or data platform engineering
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and high-ingestion telemetry architectures
• Hands-on production experience with ClickHouse and expertise in SQL performance tuning
• Proficiency in at least one major cloud provider: Azure, GCP, or AWS
• Experience deploying and operating stateful systems on Kubernetes using Terraform and Helm
