Lead Data Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Data Engineer to architect, build, and scale a healthcare data platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and evolution of a cloud-native data platform on Google Cloud Platform
• Build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and develop ingestion pipelines for clinical and administrative data
• Implement data quality frameworks and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of data engineering experience, with 2-3+ years in a lead or senior technical role
• Hands-on expertise in GCP, particularly with BigQuery and Healthcare API
• Proficiency with dbt, Airflow, Python, and advanced SQL
• Experience with healthcare standards such as FHIR, HL7, and DICOM
• Understanding of PHI handling and healthcare interoperability
