Lead Data Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a passionate Lead Data Engineer with Microsoft Azure and Fabric platform experience, this full-time remote position will design, develop, and maintain data architecture and ETL processes to support data movement and integration across multiple systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and efficient data flow across systems
• Lead architecture for complex solutions, mentor junior team members, and define architectural standards
• Develop and maintain scalable ETL pipelines using tools such as SSMS, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, and Fabric Data Factory

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in a Lead Data Engineer, Data Engineer, or Data Architect role
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a relevant technical field
• Strong knowledge of data warehouse and lakehouse concepts, along with experience in cloud data platforms like Microsoft Azure
• Proficient in building ETL processes and working with SQL, Spark SQL, PySpark, and Python
• Experience with data governance, data quality improvement, and financial data structures is a plus
