Job Summary

Leading data management initiatives, the full-time Lead Data Engineer will analyze, develop, and maintain complex data designs while providing strategic direction and coaching junior engineers in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and deliver data standards, methodologies, and best practices for data management and governance
• Design enterprise data architecture, including data stores and analytics solutions
• Lead the development and maintenance of complex data systems, ensuring alignment with data architecture principles

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
• 7 years of experience with data warehousing and 5 years with relational modeling
• 7+ years of SQL development experience
• Thorough understanding of the insurance industry and data governance practices
• Experience with database technologies and ETL tools
