Lead Data Engineer

Job Summary

As a senior technical leader in the Data Engineering organization, the full-time Lead Data Engineer will define architectural standards, drive platform modernization, and mentor teams while working remotely to enhance the enterprise data platform.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain architectural standards for the enterprise data platform, including data modeling and pipeline design
• Lead the Technical Design Document process and conduct design reviews for Data Engineering teams
• Guide the evolution of the core data platform stack and establish engineering standards related to code quality and release management

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, including technical lead roles
• Strong experience with cloud-native data platforms in AWS environments
• Familiarity with modern data engineering tools such as Airflow, Kafka, and Redshift
• Experience implementing CI/CD practices and automated testing for data pipelines
