Lead Data Engineer

Job Summary

Serving as both technical architect and team lead, the full-time Lead Data Engineer will manage and mentor a team of data engineers while designing scalable data pipelines for parcel and geospatial products in a 100% remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Mentor and support a small team through technical leadership and feedback while coordinating project priorities
• Design and evolve scalable, cloud-native architectures for operational datasets, guiding architectural decisions
• Build and operate AWS-native data platforms and maintain medallion-style data pipelines processing large-scale datasets

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering or related technical disciplines
• Strong experience building distributed data pipelines and cloud-native data platforms
• Deep proficiency with Python and modern software engineering practices
• Experience with AWS-based data infrastructure
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives
