Lead Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support the development of innovative data solutions, the fully remote Lead Data Engineer will design, implement, and oversee Microsoft data solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Azure technologies while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring data quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities:

• Act as a technical leader in designing and delivering modern data engineering solutions leveraging Microsoft Fabric and Azure Synapse Analytics
• Lead cross-functional teams in building data warehousing solutions, including architecture, implementation, and support
• Provide guidance on data governance, security, and privacy, while assisting with problem-solving related to application performance and support activities

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent work experience
• 8+ years of experience in data warehouse architecture, data modeling, and ETL tools
• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Cloud Data Platform Solutions, including Azure Synapse and Data Factory
• Strong experience with Python programming, SQL development, and Medallion Architecture Modeling
• Experience with monitoring and optimization tools such as Azure Monitor or Application Insights
