Job Summary

Leading a team of 5-6 engineers, the full-time salaried Lead Data Engineer will drive data engineering initiatives by designing scalable data pipelines, integrating real-time streaming applications, and establishing best practices in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers to foster technical growth and collaboration
• Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Apache Airflow and maintain real-time streaming applications with Apache Kafka/Spark Streaming
• Drive technical decision-making and ensure code quality through reviews and best practices

Required qualifications

• 7-8+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or related fields
• Strong proficiency in Apache Airflow, Snowflake, advanced SQL, and Apache Kafka
• Proven experience leading technical teams for 3+ years
• Experience with API development and integration (REST/SOAP)
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
