Lead Data Engineer
Job Summary
Leading a team of data engineers, the full-time salaried Lead Data Engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data warehouses while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver key metrics in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, providing guidance and technical expertise
- Manage backlog grooming, sprint planning, and prioritization for data engineering projects
- Design and implement robust data pipelines and maintain the Data Vault, Data Warehouse, and Data Marts
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of technology experience with Amazon RDS, Microsoft SQL Server, or Snowflake
- Exceptional SQL development and performance tuning skills
- Strong experience with Python and related libraries such as Pandas and NumPy
- Experience with data engineering tools and platforms like Azure Data Factory or Fivetran is a plus
