Lead Data Engineer
Job Summary
Combining hands-on application development with technical leadership, the remote Lead Data Engineer will manage end-to-end delivery of SaaS and custom applications, APIs, and integrations while guiding developers and ensuring implementation quality on a contract basis.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development and technical delivery of application products and services from design through production implementation
- Contribute to solution architecture and create technical design documentation while participating in design reviews
- Provide technical leadership through mentoring, code reviews, and ensuring adherence to engineering best practices
Required qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with SaaS, custom applications, APIs, and production implementation
- Proven technical leadership skills, including mentoring and influencing code quality
- Experience in contributing to solution architecture and overseeing implementation quality
- Ability to support production applications, including troubleshooting and upgrades
- Experience creating technical design documentation and communicating technical risks effectively
