Lead Data Engineer
Job Summary
Combining hands-on application development with technical leadership, the remote contract Lead Data Engineer will support end-to-end delivery of SaaS and custom applications, APIs, integrations, and automation while guiding developers and maintaining implementation quality.
Key responsibilities
- Lead hands-on development and technical delivery of application products and services from design through production implementation
- Contribute to solution architecture, participate in design reviews, and create technical design documentation
- Provide technical leadership through mentoring, developer guidance, and code review while collaborating with cross-functional teams
Required qualifications
- Strong hands-on application engineering experience with SaaS, custom applications, APIs, and automation
- Proven technical leadership skills, including mentoring developers and influencing code quality
- Experience in contributing to solution architecture and technical design reviews
- Ability to support production applications, including troubleshooting and implementation support
- Experience creating technical design documentation and providing software-engineering perspectives on system requirements
