Lead Data Engineer
Job Summary
To design and implement Microsoft data solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Azure technologies, the full-time remote Lead Data Engineer will manage data warehousing, integration, and modeling while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring data quality and compliance.
Key responsibilities:
- Act as a technical leader in developing modern data engineering solutions, including data pipelines and enterprise data warehousing platforms
- Lead cross-functional teams in building data warehousing solutions and provide guidance on data governance and security
- Estimate project resources and timelines, and support team members with problem-solving related to application performance
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 8+ years of experience in data warehouse architecture, data modeling, and ETL tools
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Cloud Data Platform Solutions including Microsoft Fabric and Azure Synapse
- Strong experience with Medallion Architecture Modeling and Python programming
- Ability to mentor team members in cloud technologies and maintain effective working relationships
