Lead Data Engineer
Job Summary
Leading complex data initiatives, the full-time Lead Data Engineer will provide technical leadership in designing and optimizing scalable data pipelines and real-time ingestion frameworks while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of advanced data pipelines and real-time streaming solutions
- Build and maintain scalable Kafka producers and consumers to support high availability across distributed services
- Guide technical execution of data initiatives and mentor engineers to ensure adherence to engineering standards
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent training and experience
- 6-8+ years of data engineering experience with enterprise scale platforms
- Advanced proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and CDC tools such as Debezium
- Strong experience with AWS and modern data platforms
