Lead Data Engineer
Job Summary
Providing technical leadership for data portfolios, the full-time Lead Data Engineer will drive the modernization of data ecosystems, overseeing the design and implementation of scalable data solutions while collaborating with various stakeholders in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design, configuration, and management of the Data Integration Framework to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Develop and maintain infrastructure systems such as data warehouses and lakes, while implementing ETL/ELT processes for large datasets
- Oversee engineering data initiatives, supporting both long-term projects and ad-hoc analyses, while enforcing best practices for data governance and quality
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or 4 additional years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
- 8 years of experience in leading data engineering teams and implementing scalable ETL/ELT solutions
- Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms, including Snowflake and Azure Data Services
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data modeling techniques
- Knowledge of data governance concepts and regulatory compliance in healthcare data domains
