Job Summary
Providing senior-level leadership and technical direction, the full-time remote Lead Data Manager/SAS Programmer will manage data management and statistical programming for clinical research and epidemiological studies, ensuring data quality and integrity while mentoring staff and promoting standardized practices.
Key responsibilities
- Provide oversight for data management and programming activities throughout the research study lifecycle
- Lead the development of technical approaches, including database architecture and data workflows
- Design and implement complex SAS programming solutions for data cleaning, validation, and integration
Required qualifications
- B.S. or M.S. degree in computer science, health sciences, statistics, data science, or a related field with relevant experience in health research programming and data management
- Advanced SAS programming capabilities with experience in data transformation and complex validation
- Extensive experience managing complex research data, preferably in clinical or epidemiologic studies
- Expert understanding of the full research data lifecycle, including data collection and quality control
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical direction and oversight for data management activities
