Lead Data Platform Engineer
Job Summary
As the technical lead for the data platform, the full-time Lead Data Platform Engineer will own the architecture and reliability of a shared enterprise data and analytics platform, focusing on the design and implementation of streaming and batch data pipelines while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Own the technical direction, architecture, and reliability of the data and analytics platform, serving as the final technical authority
- Lead the design and implementation of streaming and batch data pipelines, writing production infrastructure-as-code
- Establish data contracts and ensure data accuracy, governance, and security for analysis and reporting
Required qualifications
- Strong hands-on coding experience in TypeScript and/or JavaScript with AWS CDK
- Demonstrated experience owning the technical direction of a scalable cloud data platform in production
- Experience with analytical data modeling and layered data architectures
- Track record of designing for scalability, performance, and data integrity
- Experience establishing data contracts and implementing data quality and access control practices
