Job Summary

Leading a talented team of data scientists, the full-time remote Lead Data Scientist will drive proof-of-concept projects for enterprise clients, focusing on fraud prevention and machine learning solutions while enhancing team performance and client engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, setting direction and facilitating their professional growth
• Own the delivery of proof-of-concept projects, collaborating directly with enterprise customers to demonstrate fraud-loss reduction and platform ROI
• Engage in hands-on technical work, building and reviewing machine learning models, and conducting fraud analyses

Required qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience in fraud/risk data science and analytics, with a proven impact in fraud, payments, or fintech
• 2-3 years of experience in a leadership role, coaching data scientists and enhancing their skills
• Strong technical skills in Python and SQL; familiarity with Spark or Kafka is a plus
• Experience in delivering proof-of-concept engagements with measurable outcomes
• Proven expertise in applied machine learning for fraud detection and analytics in production environments
