Lead Data Scientist

Job Summary

Driving machine learning solutions for diverse clients, the remote Lead Data Scientist will manage end-to-end client engagements, lead small project teams, and mentor junior scientists while delivering innovative ML solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Own client engagements by scoping problems, building solutions, managing expectations, and delivering results
• Lead project teams and serve as the technical and strategic point of contact for clients
• Design, build, and deploy machine learning solutions across various domains and use cases

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on machine learning experience with a proven track record of shipping models to production
• Experience in consulting or client-facing delivery, with strong skills in managing scope and communicating risks
• Expertise in at least one area of machine learning, such as predictive/classical ML, computer vision, or LLM/agentic systems
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in frameworks like PyTorch, Scikit-learn, or Hugging Face
• M.S. or Ph.D. in a quantitative field, or equivalent demonstrated through relevant work
