Lead Data Scientist

Job Summary

As a Lead Data Scientist working remotely, the full-time position will focus on designing, developing, and optimizing AI and Machine Learning solutions to enhance guest and operational experiences while providing technical leadership and mentoring within the AIML team.

Key responsibilities

• Design and productionize Generative AI solutions and LLM-powered applications, including model evaluation and business impact measurement
• Serve as a hands-on technical lead, influencing solution design and collaborating with engineering teams to deploy scalable AI systems
• Work cross-functionally with product owners and stakeholders to deliver algorithmic products and communicate model behaviors and impacts effectively

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field; Ph.D. preferred
• 6+ years of experience in machine learning roles, with a focus on NLP/NLU and Generative AI, including 3+ years in a tech leadership role
• Expertise in AWS cloud services and strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and containerization technologies
• Proven experience in designing scalable data pipelines and ML systems for real-time and batch inference
• Deep understanding of responsible AI practices, CI/CD pipelines, and model lifecycle management
