Lead Database Administrator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Database Administrator to oversee the database administration team and ensure the performance and security of database systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage daily activities of the database administration team
• Oversee deployment, patching, configuration, and upgrades of database servers and clients
• Provide Tier 3 support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for database-related issues

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience
• 8+ years of hands-on database experience (MS-SQL or Oracle)
• Proven experience leading DBA teams in production environments
• Expertise in SQL performance tuning, monitoring, and high availability
• Strong programming/scripting experience (e.g., T-SQL, Shell, C#.NET, HTML5)
