Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Database Engineer to manage database initiatives and oversee the migration of PostgreSQL databases.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the management of PostgreSQL databases, focusing on backups, security, and performance tuning
• Identify and resolve complex database performance issues and optimize ETL processes
• Collaborate with departments to integrate and manage data flow from various enterprise systems

Required Qualifications and Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's Degree preferred
• Advanced experience in managing and optimizing PostgreSQL databases
• Proficiency in Linux environments and shell scripting for database automation
• Knowledge of Snowflake and its integration within database systems
• Experience with cloud services, specifically AWS and Azure, for database migration
