Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Database Engineer to manage and optimize database operations and migrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the management of PostgreSQL databases, focusing on backups, security, and performance tuning
• Identify and resolve complex database performance issues while optimizing efficiency and speed
• Oversee the development and optimization of shell scripts for ETL processes and manage data flow integration

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's Degree preferred
• Advanced certifications in database management (e.g., PostgreSQL), Linux, or cloud services (AWS, Azure) are desirable
• Demonstrated experience in managing and optimizing PostgreSQL databases
• Advanced skills in Linux environments and scripting for database operations
• In-depth knowledge of cloud services, specifically AWS and Azure, for database migration projects
