Lead Database Reliability Engineer

Job Summary

Focused on Cloud-based SQL Server environments, the full-time Lead Database Reliability Engineer will design, automate, and maintain reliable database infrastructure while driving automation and mentoring engineers in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead database architecture and design initiatives to deliver scalable and high-performance solutions
• Leverage AI/ML technologies for performance optimization and automation of database operations
• Develop and enhance database monitoring and disaster recovery systems to ensure system health and data integrity

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field, with 8+ years of database administration experience
• Deep expertise in MySQL, including design, implementation, and performance tuning
• Strong automation and cloud experience, including scripting with Bash, Python, or Ruby
• Experience with database observability solutions and tools like PMM or New Relic
• Expertise in high-availability and disaster recovery solutions
