Lead Designer for Substation

Job Summary

Supporting an assigned group of engineers and technicians, the full-time Lead Designer for Substation will provide technical drafting and design support for infrastructure projects, utilizing 3D modeling software to develop accurate plans and guide other technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop plans for infrastructure projects using 3D modeling software
• Provide technical guidance and support to technicians in the drafting and design process
• Collaborate with team members to ensure adherence to company and project standards

Required qualifications

• Two-year technical degree in Technical Drafting or equivalent
• Minimum of 10 years of infrastructure-related experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in 3D software programs such as AutoCAD and Inventor
• Detailed drafting experience with substation electrical equipment layout and related designs
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively
