Job Summary
Leading the design and governance of enterprise cloud architecture, the remote Lead DevOps Engineer will focus on architectural leadership, strategic planning, and technical oversight within a federal environment, ensuring Azure environments are scalable, secure, and compliant.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and oversee secure and scalable Azure architectures and define enterprise reference architectures for development teams
- Guide DevOps teams in implementing automated CI/CD pipelines and ensure Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices are secure and repeatable
- Lead architecture planning for cloud migration and establish governance strategies that align with federal security requirements
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship required with a current or previous Public Trust designation
- Minimum of 6 years of experience designing Azure cloud architectures and working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and ARM templates
- At least 6 years of DevOps experience focused on Azure technologies, including cloud deployment automation and CI/CD strategies
- Strong understanding of containerization technologies, including Kubernetes and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, and Python
