Lead DevOps Engineer
Job Summary
Leading a small team in a remote capacity, the full-time salaried Lead DevOps Engineer will manage and evolve product environments, oversee CI/CD pipelines, and build observability solutions while mentoring engineers and ensuring compliance in a fast-paced legal software environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, provision, and govern all product environments using infrastructure as code
- Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines, delegating tasks as the team grows
- Build observability solutions that empower service-owning teams to troubleshoot their own systems
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps/SRE/platform roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform or equivalent Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD processes
- Familiarity with relational database operations, including backup and recovery
- Experience with compliance work in a regulated industry, such as SOC 2
- Legal-industry experience is a plus but not required; regulated-industry judgment is essential
