Job Summary
To support the administrative processing of disability determinations, the full-time Lead Disability Assistant will coordinate case assignments, manage workflow, and train staff while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Manage unit workflow and ensure appropriate task assignments for Disability Assistants daily
- Train new and existing Disability Assistants on job functions and monitor customer service phone queues
- Act as the primary liaison for agency partner inquiries and ensure timely completion of priority case requests
Required qualifications
- 2-Year College Degree in business or a related field
- 5-7 years of relevant office experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology or willingness to take a course in Medical Terminology
- Knowledge of HIPAA laws and regulations regarding the confidentiality of PHI
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
