Lead Email Systems Developer
Job Summary
Taking technical ownership of an existing AI-enabled email development platform, the part-time Lead Email Systems Developer will improve its architecture, build scalable systems for high-volume email production, and support internationalized email programs, particularly for Chinese, Japanese, and Korean markets.
Key responsibilities
- Own and scale the email development platform, defining its roadmap and improving production quality
- Build a modular email architecture in collaboration with marketing and engineering teams, ensuring efficient translation of designs into email-ready HTML
- Ensure reliable email rendering across major clients and establish QA workflows aligned with accessibility standards
Required qualifications
- 6-8+ years of professional email development experience
- Advanced expertise in HTML, CSS, and MJML specifically for email development
- Production experience with Iterable and/or HubSpot
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining email component libraries or reusable frameworks
- Experience supporting localized email programs, particularly for Chinese, Japanese, and/or Korean markets
