Lead Embedded Electrical Engineer

Job Summary

As a contracted Lead Embedded Electrical Engineer, the candidate will work remotely to design and validate hardware prototypes, focusing on embedded electronics and PCB development for connected devices, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure production readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Designing custom PCBAs from concept through production and validating hardware prototypes
• Debugging and troubleshooting hardware designs using diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
• Architecting electrical sub-systems for new IoT products and ensuring designs meet regulatory compliance standards

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in electrical engineering or a closely related field
• BS or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Expert-level proficiency in electrical schematic capture, preferably using Altium
• Hands-on experience with hardware bring-up and debugging using standard lab equipment
• Strong understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) principles
