Lead Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Engineer, Platform & Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Own production system reliability, including incident response and root cause analysis
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and define technical standards for scalability
• Mentor the engineering team and collaborate with leadership to define long-term architecture vision

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 2-3 years in a senior or lead role
• Expertise in backend languages (Go, Rust, C++, Java) and strong knowledge of Postgres
• Experience improving reliability in complex engineering environments
• Proven ability to manage external engineering teams and set quality expectations
• Comfortable in a startup environment with shifting priorities and high-pressure situations
