Lead Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing fintech startup, the contracted-to-full-time Lead Engineer will build and scale the platform, collaborating closely with the VP of Engineering to define technical vision and best practices while mentoring other engineers in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Partner with the VP of Engineering to set the technical direction, team processes, and development roadmap
• Lead the architecture, development, and deployment of core platform features across the stack
• Mentor and support engineers through code reviews and guidance while scaling and maintaining infrastructure using modern DevOps practices

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with 1-2+ years in a leadership role
• Deep backend experience with Golang in production environments
• Solid experience building mobile apps with React Native
• Strong understanding of AWS services (Lambda, ECS, RDS, S3, IAM, etc.)
• Experience integrating BaaS or third-party fintech APIs
