Lead Engineer

Job Summary

To oversee the design, development, and operation of distributed application architectures, the full-time Lead Engineer will manage mission-critical APIs and data services in a cloud-hosted environment, focusing on secure integrations and backend API development using TypeScript and Golang.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and design for GraphQL subgraphs and backend APIs, ensuring security and resiliency
• Oversee infrastructure and operations, managing compute stacks, networking, and IaC deployments
• Guide application development teams in building high-throughput APIs and implementing observability practices

Required Qualifications

• Expertise in TypeScript and Golang, with a strong understanding of Node.js
• Proficiency in API frameworks such as Apollo Server (GraphQL) and RESTful API design
• Experience with cloud providers (AWS/GCP/Azure) and serverless/container orchestration technologies
• Knowledge of security practices including TLS, OIDC/JWT, and IAM/RBAC
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices for automated deployments
