Job Summary
Supporting the Diplomatic Telecommunications Service Program Office, the full-time Lead Engineer Colorado Licensed will design, implement, and maintain global telecommunications services, focusing on MPLS, Ethernet, and IPVPN solutions, while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement, configure, and maintain global telecommunications services including MPLS, Ethernet, IPVPN, and DIA
- Lead installation, testing, activation, and maintenance activities for telecommunications systems in government facilities worldwide
- Create and maintain engineering documentation, network diagrams, and automated reports using modern programming languages and APIs
Required qualifications
- 5-7 years of IP Operations & Engineering experience
- Minimum associate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related technical field
- Cisco CCNA or equivalent certification or experience preferred
- Proficiency with technologies such as Python, JavaScript, SQL, REST APIs, Power BI, Azure, or AWS
- Ability to troubleshoot network problems using circuit theory and sound judgment
