Lead Engineer, DevOps & SRE

Job Summary

To support a growing digital media company, the full-time remote Lead Engineer, DevOps & SRE will own and evolve cloud infrastructure, build the SRE function from scratch, and implement CI/CD practices to enhance product reliability and security.

Key responsibilities

• Establish the SRE practice, including on-call rotations, SLA/SLO definitions, and observability dashboards
• Complete the AWS multi-account migration with zero unplanned downtime for production workloads
• Deliver an audit-ready infrastructure evidence package for SOC 2 Type I compliance

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of production experience with AWS and Terraform, including deep expertise in CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on experience building SRE functions from the ground up
• Experience with multi-site companies utilizing PaaS or microservices
• Familiarity with SRE tooling such as OpenTelemetry, Grafana, and PagerDuty
• Proven ability to document processes and maintain clear communication across teams
